A nice review from Oliver Gehrmann

We just got a review for the application fromĀ Oliver Gehrmann – head judge of last year’s YGO TCG World Championship. Read below his review:

YuGiOh WC 2008The Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG is well-known for it’s many card interactions that often need to be clarified by single card rulings. There are thousands of these rulings, so it’s next to impossible to keep track of all of them. In this tool, I saw a welcome addition to my judging gear and I haven’t been disappointed.

I downloaded this application last week in order to have enough time to get familiar with it before judging another tournament (today). The interface is very intuitive and it’s easy to get hold of the most important functions. Like the programers claim, you can get all available rulings to the released cards (which was the selling argument for me). The card search makes it easy enough for you to find the card you’re looking for fast, so the players don’t need to wait forever for you coming up with an answer (if you don’t know it from the top of your head). Gone is the nagging feeling after you gave a ruling as you can instantly check it with the app and make 100% sure!

While this application still has some minor glitches (e.g. I would like to be able to add my own notes to cards), what really makes it shine are the developers behind it! They listen to your feedback, respond fast and promised to make this application even more useful with upcoming versions. I would have given a 4.5 if possible (because of the above mentioned glichtes), but I’m sure that future versions will earn the full 5.

While I’m quite positive on this tool being a useful addition for a player (so he can keep track of his various decks, life points during a game, etc.), it’s a must-have for the judges!

We are glad that he use our application because he already sent us a big list of futures and bugs.
